Sweden offers inexpensive, heavily subsidized, and high quality public health care for everyone who lives or works in Sweden, thanks to a tax payer-funded and largely decentralized health care system.

Welcome to an event to learn more about how to access Swedish health care system, which are the main ways to get in touch with health care services, when to use which and what to expect when you do. Various cases will be covered such as medical emergencies, booking an appointment with a GP and referrals to a specialist. Several related topics will be briefly covered including; who is responsible for health care in Sweden, considerations when seeking health care with children, medical certificates for sick leave and taking care of sick children.
Meet Nils Lavesson who has, through his own experience and by helping international colleagues and friends, learned how to approach Swedish health care and which are the main pitfalls.
