Join us for a city walk and get to know people and hidden gems! Every first Friday of the month we’ll take you for an hour's walk in Lund to explore and see what the city has to offer. This is a social get together to meet other internationals in the community of ICHL and discover places that you may not know about.
The open-air museum at Kulturen offers a fascinating insight into history and community life through its well-preserved houses and surroundings. During the tour, you will get a chance to discover different aspects of how people lived through the ages, both in cities and in the countryside. In the park, which is part of the museum, you can take part in stories about the houses that are lined up, where each house carries its own unique stories.
You will find out, among other things, how the priest and member of parliament Johan Henrik Thomander and his family lived during the 1840s, or what a rich Lunda resident's home looked like in the Middle Ages. You also get an insight into country life and can learn about objects such as the classic poorman's bag, which was part of social life in the past.
Please note: We will meet in the entrance of Kulturen 12:50.
