Trip to Helsingborg

Welcome on a guided tour of Dunkers Kulturhus and a visit to Helsingborg and our sister organization – Helsingborg International Connections (HIC).

View of the City of Helsingborg with the sea

We’ll start in Lund at Clemenstorget and take the train together to Helsingborg. Our first stop will be at HIC, just a few minutes’ walk from the train station. Sally will greet us and introduce us to the work she does for the international community in Helsingborg.

Another few minutes’ walk will lead us to Dunkers Kulturhus beautifully located just on the waterfront. This is both a museum for history and art, and a performing arts center. During the guided tour, held by a guide from Dunkers, you will get to see different areas of the big white building, designed by Kim Utzon, and get to know the different aspects of the work being done there Kim Utzon is a Danish architect and the son of Jorn Utzon, who designed the Opera house in Sydney, Australia.

For those of you that wish to stay in Helsingborg, Sally from HIC will give you some tips on lunch restaurants, and if you want to head back to Lund you are welcome to join us and catch a train from Helsingborg C after the tour.

The guided tour of Dunkers Kulturhus is offered by International Citizen Hub Lund and free of charge for you.
