Introduction to the Swedish job market

Join this event and you will get the basics of job searching in Sweden. Get a grip of the process and tools available, and some inspiration!

Miguel Salvador from EURES, a part of the Swedish public employment services, will introduce you to the basics of job searching in Sweden. He will explain the process and tell you more about the tools available that may lead you to finding a job or a network that will result in gainful employment.
The purpose of EURES is to provide information, advice and recruitment/placement (job-matching) services for the benefit of workers and employers as well as any citizen wishing to benefit from the principle of the free movement of persons.

We have also invited Azaliah Mapombere to talk and share her personal journey into the Swedish job market. Azaliah moved to Sweden in 2013 to pursue a master's degree in International Human Rights Law at Lund University. She comes from Botswana and has worked for IKEA since 2015, currently with business & human rights and social impact across global value chains. Having lived in and travelled to multiple countries for school, work, research, internships and tourism, Azaliah will share how networking is a useful approach for the expat experience in everyday life, as well as for the job market in Sweden.
