How to meet people and make friends in Sweden

ICHL-Ambassador event: Making new social connections is important when moving to a new country. Join this event and get tips, personal stories and experiences from ICHL-Ambassadors.

Finding your tribe and making new social connections is surely one of the most important – and sometimes most difficult - parts of the puzzle when moving to a new country.

Living abroad means also to live far away from family and friends. Especially in the beginning of your new journey this means a feeling of isolation and disconnection, in a situation where you would need social support the most.

Also, building and broadening your professional network is an important aspect to enter Swedish society.

“How and where to meet people and make friends?” “How and where do Swedes socialize?” “Can private connections really help me to find a job?” We often get these questions at the International Citizen Hub Lund.

At this event we will gather our answers and tips regarding these questions, together with some of our ICHL-Ambassadors who will share their personal stories and experiences.

In this very interactive session, you will not only be informed, inspired, and motivated to go out and meet new people in Sweden. You will also have the chance to directly make new connections and develop friendships with our ambassadors and other internationals in the community of ICHL.

Thanks to our ICHL-Ambassadors Andrea Gouvea, Perina Torbarina and Martina Ferrucci for joining us at this event!

We will start at 17:00 with mingle, a light snack and beverage. Looking forward to meeting you there!
