They can be organised by any of our volunteers, and can be anything of their choice interesting for the international community.

Volunteer's gem by Parisa Tsang:

I would like to gather and connect newcomers who share the same encounters when integrating into Swedish culture. Speed-friending is a great way to meet new faces and it provides opportunity to mingle for professional networks. This time we’ll meet at a venue called Stenkrossen in Lund. A representative from this fantastic creative place will take 30 minutes to introduce you to what happens there and how you can take part.

After I have received your sign-up, I will match you with another person before the event starts. I will prepare a paper for a list of conversation starters for you. You will have 4 minutes to talk in pairs before switching partners. In the end, I will have an open round where I put more people in a group to chat.

I will arrange participants to be seated in a good distance from each other so everyone feels safe and comfortable. And no worries if you are the first time participating in International Citizen Hub Lund's events, everyone is warmly welcome.

I will have pens and paper ready so just come and join us at Stenkrossen (Kastanjegatan 13, Lund) for a great time filled with meeting new people in town!

Looking forward to seeing you!
/ Parisa
