16 March - Learn more about Swedish for Immigrants (SFI)
WEBINAR: The most important reason to learn Swedish is that it increases your employment potential and can be a requirement for entering higher education in Sweden. Furthermore you will become more independant, able to interact more closely with the Swedes and get a better understanding of the Swedish culture.
We have invited “LundaVälkomsten Vux” from Lund Municipality to inform you about Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) courses designed for newcomers who needs basic knowledge of the Swedish language. By following such a course, you will learn to speak, read and write in Swedish. You will also practice conversation in everyday and workplace scenarios. After completing the course you will receive a grade that will be useful when applying for a job for example.
We have also invited “Lunds Vägledningscentrum” – a counselling and vocational guidance centre that offers free education and career guidance to adults living in Lund Municipality. Changing direction in life is not only a matter of willpower but also knowing what options are open to you. To find out on your own what courses or education that are available can be trickier than you thought and knowing your options can make a difference.
The registration will open up two weeks before the event, at the latest.
During our events we sometimes take photographs and short film clips to profile our activities. Please let us know if you don’t want to be in any photos/films before we start the event.
