14 May - An introduction to the Swedish Workplace Culture

***cancelled***

We have cancelled all events Spring 2020 as a precaution, following recommendations from “Folkhälsomyndigheten", the Public Health Agency, after a high alert on the spreading of the corona virus in Sweden.

Join this session and get strategies for the most common difficulties newcomers stumble upon when dealing with the Swedish workplace culture.

In this interactive session, Federica Viero from The Intercultural Lab  will address the most common difficulties newcomers typically stumble upon when dealing with the Swedish workplace culture, initially as job seekers and then as new employees.

By discussing four major topics - leadership style, teamwork, equality and communication habits - participants will gain an understanding of the main peculiarities of the Swedish mindset at work and will takeaway some immediately actionable strategies to address and solve the most usual workplace snags.

This workshop is for anyone interested in developing their practical understanding of the Swedish culture specifically related to the workplace. Are you a job seeker, a team member, a team lead or simply a curious mind interested in sharing or reflecting on your experience of working in Sweden? Welcome to join us at this event!

Federica Viero is an intercultural trainer and consultant with diverse experience of relocating, living and working internationally. She has been in Sweden since 2013 and as founder of The Intercultural Lab, she supports companies and organizations in managing and leveraging cultural diversity through seminars, workshops and consulting.

During our events we sometimes take photographs and short film clips to profile our activities. Please let us know if you don’t want to be in any photos/films before we start the event. Thank you!
