"I came to know about public employment service “Arbetsförmedlingen”. There I found an interesting activity related to IT support, training & I enrolled there without knowing the language. I got admission only with English skills and later they helped me to understand the training part. Now, I have completed many certifications."

After the experience of exploring 12 countries, now settled in this beautiful country Sweden

I am an Indian mom who moved to Lund, Sweden in the mid of august 2019 with a 1,5 year old daughter. My husband got employed in an IT company called Avensia. I was so excited to move here after I did a few searches about Sweden & I heard a lot about the country too. I was pretty sure winter will not welcome us, but I always go with my husband on his IT on-site projects in different countries & I enjoy my leisure time in understanding the culture of different countries.

Sweden is one of the most beautiful countries in Europe but here comes an exception - the local language is not a barrier. In Sweden most of the people speak in English – that is the best part!

I'm living near Lund University with my family, Lund is a very beautiful city in almost everything. I came here in the winter so that was quite depressing for me, without knowing the language, culture, no friends, nothing. Then one of my husband’s friends suggested visiting International Citizen Hub Lund and attend their Kick-Start Program to find a job, friends & build my network.

I was a marketing professional & after moving to Sweden, I switched from marketing to IT because of the language, their social securities & many more. The International Citizen Hub Lund is a place where I learned to understand the Swedish job market, networking, culture & also I met with the internationals. I also participated in the Kick-Start Program, it really helped & helping me even now. I have made a lot of friends & broadened my network.

I came to know about public employment service “Arbetsförmedlingen”. There I found an interesting activity related to IT support, training & I enrolled there without knowing the language. The best season is summer in Sweden. This year, I have explored the beaches, biking, nature walk, sunshine, Barbeque party & yes, the FAMILY TIME. If you are in Sweden, it is an opportunity to meet people, invite them for FIKA & you never know when you can hit the ball.

If you are a newbie to Sweden & looking for some networking & platform to explore, do visit International Citizen Hub Lund and they will help you in all the ways.

And Now i can happily say that i got the Internship in very renowned company Called E.ON Sverige Malmo as an IT Communication Coordinator (Process / Hosting / RPA).
